Black lines flowing through.  Cutting into the color.  Faded, leftover remnants etched in chaos.  Tried to reign it in by placing lines.  The lines crawl towards a structure that contains the color, texture.  Paint from nothing until it takes shape into something.  Then stop.  Don’t.  Try. 

Final image eventually, from strokes and scratches.  Every stroke becomes useful.  Look closely.  Use blended imagination to see beyond the initial marks.

Abstract mark making.  Keep every stroke and treat the canvas like tradition.  First strokes cannot be erased, only covered.  Then layered, masked, erased.  To create final image.  Apply the lines then they too themselves become invisible.  Draw. Something.

Can allude to something or nothing at all.  Connections between lines, marks can emerge to represent almost anything.  Complete reshaping.  Layering.  Finished when another mark, stroke would destroy it.
